Clothing rental websites are a great way to get the outfit you want while spending as little money as possible, especially if you’re only going to wear it once. Find out how clothing rental websites work with help from a fashion industry professional in this free video clip.
Hi, label lovers! I’m Jordan Landes-Brenman, founder of Haute House PR. And today, we’re here at my showroom in Los Angeles, and I am going to be explaining how clothing rental websites work. There are a ton of fabulous rental websites out there, and I always use them – whether I’m going to a wedding weekend, a bridal shower – it’s a great way to have your outfit picked out ahead of time, and also get that designer look for less. Many times, you can find Gucci, David Meister, Prada, things like that, and be paying just 50 to 150 dollars to rent it for a few days. So, you get that look without the price. So, one of the first things that you do is you go online to the clothing rental website of your choosing. You select your sizes. I am normally a two, but sometimes I fluctuate, or if the brand runs smaller, I can be a zero. So, I would select size zero and two. Then, you check the dates that you would want the item to be available. So, if you’re going to a wedding weekend, you would need to allow a day on each end for receiving the item, and then sending it out. So, generally it’s between four to eight days. You select the dates, then the system will check and see if that item in those sizes for that date is available. If it is, it will come to you in the mail, and you will get the two sizes. So, you get the zero and the two, which is great because you don’t always know how a designer’s items are going to run. Another great option that many sites have is to add another item of your choosing for an additional 25 dollars. Say, for instance, you also want some jewelry to go with the dresses that you picked, can do that as well. Or, you can always have another dress sent to you. Say, you have another wedding weekend and you have a rehearsal dinner and then, you know, you’re a wedding guest the next day. So, after your weekend, once you’re done wearing the items, you simply put them in the prepaid shipping envelope that was provided to you by the website, pop them into the mail. They handle all cleaning, all jewelry repairs, and you’re not penalized for any of those things. And then, that’s it! Voila! You’ve used a clothing rental website, and that’s how it works. So, thanks so much for joining me today! I’m Jordan Landes-Brenman. Can check me out at www.HauteHousePR.com, and thank you so much! Happy shopping! Bye!
