Hi, ladies. I’m Jordan Landes-Brenman, and today I’m going to be giving you my tips on how to prepare for a dress alteration. Making sure that you have all the right supplies with you is essential to confirming that your dress fits you properly and that there aren’t any nasty surprises the day of the event. Whenever I go to the tailor to get a dress altered I always make sure that I have a little kit with me. One of the first things that I make sure that I have is a nude strapless bodysuit as you can see here on the manikin. It’s great, it sucks you in but it’s also seamless under the dress so you won’t get any strange lines and it will be a smooth look. I also on occasion like to bring these little butt pads. They’re nude so they’re also seamless, they add a little oomph to your behind and they also make everything look lifted and it just kind of enhances any outfit. I also like to bring a nude strapless bra with me if it matches the neckline of the dress. That way for some reason if your bra comes out a little bit or shows it won’t even be noticeable because it is similar in color to your skin. And it comes in a variety of colors. I also always recommend bringing the shoe that you’re going to be wearing to the event. I love nude shoes. They go with everything, they elongate your legs so that’s generally my go to, but bring it so the heel height matches and there aren’t any nasty surprises day of. So those are my tips and now you’re prepared. Good luck.
