Hi, disco divas, I’m Jordan Landes-Brenman, founder of Haute House PR. Today we’re at my Los Angeles showroom and I am going to be talking about fashion during the 70s. The 70s were one of my favorite eras in fashion, just because the fashion was so dramatic and outlandish. Here are a few of my signature picks from the 70s. Number one would have to be the little wrap dress which was created and immortalized by Diane Von Furstenberg who is now a huge designer. Also, little zigzag prints, anything with a gold lorex as you’ll see here. Also a cross body bag that’s small enough to wear to a concert but can also go day to night and kind of completes that long line that everyone in the 70s was looking to get. Also another huge thing were platform shoes so whether they were platform pumps, platform peep toes or open toed platform sandals, platforms were all the rage in tons of different colors and prints. Another huge trend of the 70s was trouser pants in bright colors as well as in denim styles. So this is a great example, corduroy was huge in the 70s in this bright green and then also this denim version. Lastly, disco was king in the 70s so anything with fringe and silver glitter sequins was huge. This dress would have been amazing at Studio 54 and I can just see someone like Diana Ross wearing it. So those are my tips for fashion during the 70s. Thanks so much for joining us today. Again I’m Jordan Landes-Brenman. You can check me out at Hautehousepr.com and we’ll see you next time, bye.
